Coronavirus and traveling to Lillehammer and Gudbrandsdalen

In order to stop the spread of COVID-19 and to contribute to the maintance of necessary health and care services, the Norwegian Directorate of Health implements today – from 6 p.m. on Thursday 12 March until Monday 13.April 2020 the following rules

Ban on/closing of various events and services, and restrictions on travel

Cultural and sport events will be cancelled.
We encourage each of you to check websites and/or reach out to the event organiser in case of any questions. 

Closing of all establishments in the hospitality industry, except for eating places where food is distributed, i.e. canteens and eating places that can ensure visitors to keep at least 2 metre distance from each other. The hospitality industry includes restaurants, bars, pubs and nightclubs.
Some restaurants which are able to keep open with the enforced restrictions (no buffes, minimum 2 metre in distance from each other etc) will remain open until further notice. Bars, pubs and nightclubs will close down. 

We strongly encourage everyone to avoid leisure travel and avoid journeys that are not strictly necessary. Everyone who comes from outside the Nordic countries should be in quarantine for 14 days from their arrival in Norway, regardless of whether they have symptoms or not. Retroactive from 27 February.
The Norwegian borders are shut down for incoming non-resident travellers. All Norwegian citizens and other people who work or live in Norway are still allowed to enter the country. Read more at the bottom of this page.

Due to the coronavirus situation  attractions are now closed, and activities and events are cancelled.
